فاجأت الثوراتُ العربيةُ المعرفةَ المعهودة، أو السائدة في مناخات عربية مارست القطيعة مع الديمقراطية، لعقود طويلة. وبفعل هذه الثورات، أصبحنا نعلم أن الممكن كان كامناً في الواقع، ولم نره. وغدونا نعلم أن مَنْ سَمّيناهم، بِحِرَفِيَّة عالية، "فاعلين" ليسوا هم من فعّلوا هذا الممكن. مَنْ فعّلوه "ناس عاديون" كانوا، في بحوثنا، كائنات هلامية، نملأ بها جداول إحصاءاتنا.
مما سُمّي مفاجأة فاجأت الثوراتُ العربيةُ المعرفةَ المعهودة، أو السائدة في مناخات عربية مارست القطيعة مع الديمقراطية، لعقود طويلة. وبفعل هذه الثورات، أصبحنا نعلم أن الممكن كان كامناً في الواقع، ولم نره. وغدونا نعلم أن مَنْ سَمّيناهم، بِحِرَفِيَّة عالية، "فاعلين" ليسوا هم من فعّلوا هذا الممكن. مَنْ فعّلوه "ناس عاديون" كانوا، في بحوثنا، كائنات هلامية، نملأ بها جداول إحصاءاتنا.
مما سُمّي مفاجأة هو تلقائية الممكن، يخرج من "مستحيلات" الخطاب؛ إنه الخطاب الذي استبطن "خروج العرب من التاريخ" واستبطن صورة العربي الذي لايثور! لم تعطّل الإمكانَ فيه سلطةُ القمع، بقدر ما عطّله عجز معرفته بالصيرورات.
وبعد، يبقى التساؤل عن علاقة معرفتنا بثورة جارية، لا نعرف خواتيمها. لا مجال لجوانب أخرى كثيرة: مثلاً، مواجهة ممكناتِ الثورة بمستحيلات التدبير والتسيير، وهذا يظهر، أوضح ما يظهر، عند ما يُطرح المطلب الاجتماعي لأنه الأكثر إفرازاً للمصالح والمتناقضات. يظهر عندما يصطدم الثوري بالشرعية التي أنتجها: هو ينتج سلطةً عليها أن تُقنع، أولاً، بأنها سلطة. عندئذ تكون العودة إلى سؤال قديم: تغيير من الداخل أم ثورة جديدة؟
