هم الأحد عشر الذين كانوا يجيئون من المخيمات المتفرقة، أو من سكن مجاور لها، بدوا وكأنهم في تلك اللقاءات، بل منذ بدايتها، كأنهم يكملون صداقة جمعت بينهم من قبل. لا شيء كان يعكر ذلك الإجماع العاطفي... هذه المودة الجامعة قائمة، لا بد، على ما تتيحه تلك "الأخوة". وهذه باتت نادرة في زمن احتراب أخوة آخرين واكتشافهم أن من هم معهم، أو من كانوا معهم، ليسوا أخوة لهم. وهذا انتقل إلى النصوص التي تدعو قارئها، فيما أحسب، إلى أن يقرأها بلطف وحب، على الرغم من الاختلاف بينها، تناولاً ولغة وتجربة ورؤيا...
هنا سنقرأ عن ماضي المخيم، وكذلك عن تشعب خطوطه حتى بلدان هي من الكثرة، بين أفراد العائلة الواحدة، بحيث تبدو فكرة إعادة "جمع الشمل" ضرباً من الإعجاز. كما نقرأ عن اللهو في المخيم، وعن الغزل فيه، وعن الجدران المنقوشة عليها كتابات الأحلام، وكذلك كتابات السخط، وقد نقرأ نصوصاً في مديح المخيم، ونصوصاً أخرى في هجائه، كما سنقرأ عن مشاعر أخرى، هي أكثر تعقيداً إزاءه.
