مما فتح الله به على البشرية في العصر الحديث ذاك التميز في علوم الحياة الدنيا، فقد تطور العلم البشري تطوراً غير مسبوق، ونتج عنه من المنافع ما لم نسمع عنه في تاريخ الإنسانية.
ولكن هذا التميز المدهش لم يكن صافياً من الشوائب، ولا خالياً من الثغرات والسقطات، وقد استغلّ ذلك طائفة من أصحاب الأهواء داخل العالم الإسلامي، فتحركوا بباطلهم من خلال تلك الثغرات، فاتهموا الدين والوحي والع مما فتح الله به على البشرية في العصر الحديث ذاك التميز في علوم الحياة الدنيا، فقد تطور العلم البشري تطوراً غير مسبوق، ونتج عنه من المنافع ما لم نسمع عنه في تاريخ الإنسانية.
ولكن هذا التميز المدهش لم يكن صافياً من الشوائب، ولا خالياً من الثغرات والسقطات، وقد استغلّ ذلك طائفة من أصحاب الأهواء داخل العالم الإسلامي، فتحركوا بباطلهم من خلال تلك الثغرات، فاتهموا الدين والوحي والعقائد والشرائع بعدم مسايرتها للعلم ولا اتفاقها مع العصر، وقد استندوا في ذلك إلى ما قدمه الفكر العلماني الغربي.
والتطورات العلمية والفكرية المعاصرة تكشف تهافت المستندات العلمانية الحديثة ولكنها تعاني من غياب البديل الواضح، وهذه فرصة سانحة للفكر الإسلامي أن يجتهد في تقديم التوجيه الرباني الذي يجمع شتات العلوم ويرتقي بها بما ينفع البشرية.
