بونسون دو ترايل: روائي فرنسي، معروف بكتاباته في أدب المغامرات.
ولد ألكس بونسون دو ترايل عام ١٨٢٩م، بمدينة مونمارتر الفرنسية. عُرف بإنتاجه الأدبي الغزير، فقد أنتج ثلاثة وسبعين مجلدًا خلال عشرين عامًا. تنتمي أعماله الروائية المبكرة إلى الأدب القوطي، وعندما بدأ في كتابة «سلسلة روكامبول» قام بنشرها في جريدة يومية، وهي سلسلة من القصص المنتمي لأدب الغموض والمغامرة، وقد مَثلت هذه السلسلة تحوله من الأدب القوطي إلى الأدب البطولي الحداثي.
وقد توفي بونسون دو ترايل عام ١٨٧١م.
Book Description
كثيرًا ما يكون الجمال نقمة على صاحبه؛ فلولا جمال الأم التي كانت فتنة للناظرين، وابنها «رالف» ذو الطلعة البهية والشعر الأشقر؛ لما دفعت بهم الأقدار إلى تلك الحياة البائسة. تدور أحداث الرواية في «إنجلترا»، حيث تركت الأم وابنها وطنهما «أرلندا». ومنذ أن وطئت أقدامهما أرض إنجلترا حاذا على لباب الناظرين؛ فقد أُعجب السير «بالمير» بجمال الأم، وسعى للوصول إليها، كما استطاعت «فانوش» أحد شياطين الإنس أن تخطف ابنها، وعهدت به إلى إحدى العائلات الثرية، بعدما أوهمتهم أنه ابنهم وحاولت قتل الأم الحقيقية، غير أن الرحمة غرست في قلوب قاتليها، عندما شاهدوا جمالها. ولأن الحق الذي وراءه مطالب لا يضيع برغم مرور الزمان، يعود «ابن أرلندا» إلى أحضان أمه مرة أخرى.
