بونسون دو ترايل: روائي فرنسي، معروف بكتاباته في أدب المغامرات.
ولد ألكس بونسون دو ترايل عام ١٨٢٩م، بمدينة مونمارتر الفرنسية. عُرف بإنتاجه الأدبي الغزير، فقد أنتج ثلاثة وسبعين مجلدًا خلال عشرين عامًا. تنتمي أعماله الروائية المبكرة إلى الأدب القوطي، وعندما بدأ في كتابة «سلسلة روكامبول» قام بنشرها في جريدة يومية، وهي سلسلة من القصص المنتمي لأدب الغموض والمغامرة، وقد مَثلت هذه السلسلة تحوله من الأدب القوطي إلى الأدب البطولي الحداثي.
وقد توفي بونسون دو ترايل عام ١٨٧١م.

الجزء السادس من رواية "روكامبول"، للكاتب بونسون دو ترابل، لا يقل هذا الجزء متعةً وجمالاً عن باقي أجزاء هذه السلسة الرائعة من الروايات، ويتحدث "روكامبول في سيبيريا" عن الرحلة التي قطعها روكامبول في طريقه من فرنسا إلى روسيا، وكله أمل أن ينقذ "مدلين"، التي حاول عمّاها الفيكونت "كارل"، والبارون "فيليب" لقتلها، وسعوا لهذا الشيء بكل قوتهم، وذلك طمعاً في الحصول على ثروتها، وقد اجتمعت الظروف والأحداث وتكالبت عليها، حيث خدعها الكونت "يونتيف" وقام بإبعادها عن ولده "إيفان" الذي كان يحبها كثيراً، كما قام بتسليمها إلى خادمه "بطرس" كي يتخلص منها، إذ أن حظها التعيس الذي خلصها من يدي بطرس، أوقعها في أيدي عمّيها، بعد أن اعترف بطرس بخدعة "بونتيف"، لكن "كارل" أحبها حباً شديداً، ولم تطاوعه نفسه بقتلها، وأراد أن يتزوج منها، أما "روكامبول" الذي وصل غلى سيبيريا، استطاع أن يصل غلى "مدلين" فقامت "فندا" بإخبارها بالحقيقة كاملة، وتصل الأحداث إلى أشدها عندما يُلقى القبض على "روكامبول"، فهل يا ترى سينجح في الهروب، وما هو المصير الذي ينتظر "مدلين"؟.
