فمنذا أن تفتح وعى هضا العالم على أهمية الأستراتيجية لهذا الوطن التعيس و أصبح مطمعا للجميع و دار حرب ، و لم تكن العقود الثلاثة التى عرفت الاستقلال فيها بين عامى 1960/1990 تتمتع باستقرار ، فقد تقلب فيها نظام سياد بري كحال أغلب الثوار من العسكريين الأفارقة بين اتجاهات شتى ؛ و لأن الحاكم العسكرى يأتى دائ لم تعرف أمة من الأمم هذا البؤس و ذلك الشقاء الذي عرفتهما الأمة الصومالية ،
فمنذا أن تفتح وعى هضا العالم على أهمية الأستراتيجية لهذا الوطن التعيس و أصبح مطمعا للجميع و دار حرب ، و لم تكن العقود الثلاثة التى عرفت الاستقلال فيها بين عامى 1960/1990 تتمتع باستقرار ، فقد تقلب فيها نظام سياد بري كحال أغلب الثوار من العسكريين الأفارقة بين اتجاهات شتى ؛ و لأن الحاكم العسكرى يأتى دائما على دبابة باستثاءات قليلة أو نادرة فتكون قراراته و توجهاته متخبطة .
ولهذا كان هذا الكتاب الذى يمثل رحلة قام بها المؤلف للصومال راصدا الأحداث التى يمر بها القرن الإفريقي و متغيراته .
