إذا كان العنوان [الإسلام والسياسة] يحمل التساؤل والاستفهام عن علاقة «الدين» الذي هو وحي إلهي، وتنزيل سماوي، وتشريع رباني، وبين «السياسة» التي هي تدابير مدنية بشرية، فإن الإجابة عن هذا التساؤل تتميز في الإسلام عنها في أنساق فكرية وفلسفات إنسانية وشرائع دينية غير دين الإسلام.
فالعلمانية قد فكت الارتباط، وفصمت العرى بين السماء والأرض، وحررت السياسة المدنية من القيم الدينية؛ ول إذا كان العنوان [الإسلام والسياسة] يحمل التساؤل والاستفهام عن علاقة «الدين» الذي هو وحي إلهي، وتنزيل سماوي، وتشريع رباني، وبين «السياسة» التي هي تدابير مدنية بشرية، فإن الإجابة عن هذا التساؤل تتميز في الإسلام عنها في أنساق فكرية وفلسفات إنسانية وشرائع دينية غير دين الإسلام.
فالعلمانية قد فكت الارتباط، وفصمت العرى بين السماء والأرض، وحررت السياسة المدنية من القيم الدينية؛ ولذلك تعايشت كنائس المجتمعات العلمانية مع «السياسة المكيافيلية»، التي جعلت الغايات مبررة للوسائل، بصرف النظر عن حظ هذه الوسائل من أخلاقيات الدين وقيمه ومُثُله.
أما في الإسلام: فإن العلاقة بينه -وهو دين إلهي- وبين السياسة، كتدبير للدولة والدنيا والاجتماع والعمران، هي علاقة متميزة عن كل التصورات في الأنساق الفكرية والفلسفية والدينية غير الإسلامية.
فهناك علاقة بين «الإسلام» وبين «السياسة»، لكنها علاقة وسط بين «الاتحاد والامتزاج والاندماج»، وبين «الفصل والقطيعة والافتراق».
فالتصور الإسلامي لنطاق عمل الذات الإلهية لا يقف فقط عند حدود عمل الخلق، وإنما لله -أيضًا- الرعاية والتدبير لكل عوالم المخلوقات، ومنها الاجتماع البشري والعمران الإنساني.
فللشريعة الإلهية مدخل في السياسة، لا يلغي حرية الإنسان وسلطانه وسلطاته في تدبير المجتمع وسياسته، ولكنه يضبط هذه الحرية وهذا السلطان بحدود الحلال والحرام الديني.
فلا الشريعة تلغي سلطة الإنسان وحريته في السياسة والتدبير للعمران الدنيوي، ولا هذه السلطة الإنسانية والحرية البشرية في سياسة الدولة والمجتمع متحررة تمامًا من إطار الشريعة الإلهية وحدود الله وأحكام الدين.
