قاص وروائي مصري من مواليد الأقصر٬ مصر٬عام 1967. يعمل محررا لمجلة الثقافة الجديدة. فاز بالجائزة الأولى في مسابقة صحافية (أخبار الأدب) للقصة القصيرة٬ على مستوى الوطن العربي٬ عن قصة "عجلات عربة الكارو الأربعة". صدر له ثلاث مجموعات قصصية وروايتان: "الصنم" (1999) و"منافي الرب" (2013) وقد ترشحت منافى الرب لجائزة البوكر و ايضا صدرت له رواية "إنحراف حاد"

"هذه روايه تراوغ قراءها، إذ تستدرجهم الى عالم يعج بالمتناقضات والانحرافات الحادة، عبر رحلة فى سيارة ” ميكروباص “، وهى تجسيد للدنيا بغرورها وتنوعها، وتشخيص للحياة بافراحها واتراحها، ليصل راكبوها الى نهارية الرحلة حيث الموت المتسرب الى شرايين الحياة، او الحياة التى تسير مذهولة فى ركاب الموت، وتقف حائرة امام فتنة اقتناص الخلود!!!!

كان ” الميكروباص ” الذى يتجاوزونه على يمينه، وفيه رجل يجلس ” هناك ” فى نفس موقعه ” هنا “، شبهه تماماً، ينظر أليه باندهاش كان الامر أضخم من جبل، اوسع من سماء، أعمق من محيط، اكبر كثيرا من أن يتحمله عقله، فتصرف بعته، حيث ابتسم فى وجه سبيهه ولو ح له ببلاهة
