Book Description
تتناول هذه الدراسة التأريخ السياسي لدولتين مهمتين في التاريخ الإسلامي، الأولى: دولة السلاجقة العظام في إيران وخراسان وبلاد ما وراء النهر، والثانية دولة سلاجقة العراق، وتغطي فترة تمتد ما بين 429-590هـ/ 1038-1194م.
والسلاجقة أمَّة محاربة، ترك قادتهم للخليفة في بغداد الاسم فحسب، وسيطروا على معظم أرجاء الخلافة، واشتهر منهم طغرلبك، وألب أرسلان بطل معركة "ملاذكرد" ويعدُّ تاريخهم من أهم حقب التاريخ الإسلامي في العصور الوسطى.
ومن موضوعات هذه الدراسة: أصل السلاجقة وتأسيس دولتهم في خراسان، اعتراف العباسيين بهم للتخلص من البويهيين، الأوضاع السياسية والعسكرية في عهد ألب أرسلان وعلاقتهم مع العباسيين، ظهور الأتابكة والحشاشين والعلاقات مع الصليبيين، انتهاء السلاجقة العظام وظهور سلاجقة العراق.
