وقد كان مؤلف الكتاب يعيش في العصر المغولي، في عصر السلطان أولجايتو فتعصب للسلاجقة لأنهم كالمغول من الأقوام التركية البدوية التي اجتمعت فقوي جانبها واستطاعت أن تقوم بحملات، وتقيم دولة قوية مترامية الأطراف، تستطيع أن تمثّل دوراً مهماً على مسرح التاريخ وتؤثر في تاريخ غيرها من الدول والشعوب.
