تدور أحداث رواية "مزدوج" حول شاب محب للفن من أب مسلم وأم مسيحية ويعانى من صراع رهيب بين محاولات تشويه الآخر فى كلا الفريقين، وتسرد الرواية مواقف تعبر بوضوح عن خطابات الفتنة الطائفية ومدى عمق تلك المشكلة فى مصر وتغلغلها فى عقلية كثير من المتعلمين. وتطرح الرواية فكرة التعايش السلمى تحت مبادىء المحبة والإخاء وترابط المصير. القس في الكنيسة يرى انه لابد ان يتبع المسيحية حيث هي الحق... حيث الطريق الى الفردوس... أما الشيخ في المسجد فيرى أن والده اخطأ حينما تزوج من النصارى، وكلا الطرفين يرفضه ولا يقبل به الا اذا كان مسلماً كاملاً او مسيحياً خالصاً، فلا توجد ثقافة تقبل الأخر والتعايش معه في المجتمع.
وهذه الرواية ستهتز لها الأوساط الثقافية فهي صرخة مدوية فى وجه الجهل والتعصب.. أحداث مثيرة متلاحقة وعندما تنتهي من الرواية ستجد في رأسك سؤال لم يتم الإجابة عنه، وهنا ستبدأ رحلة بحثك أنت.. هل هي قصة واقعية أم خيال الكاتب؟.. لن تستطيع الاجابة أيضا على هذا السؤال بسهولة ، فالأحداث واقعية وعدسة الكاتب ترصد ما لا تستطيع رصده كاميرات نشرات الأخبار الموجهة ولا كاميرات السينما الحذرة فتخرج لنا الرواية من قلب العاصمة، من أروقة الجوامع وصوامع الكنائس، ومن تحقيقات أمن الدولة إلى الاعتراف الأخير في كلمات لها صوت و صورة.
