تعتبر حرب حزيران/يونيو 1967 نقطة تحول جذرية في الصراع العربي-الإسرائيلي وخاصة في مصير القضية الفلسطينية. تحاول هذه الدراسة في ضوء المصادر الجديدة أن تلقي ضوءاً على دور الولايات المتحدة الأمريكية في الحرب وتحالفها مع إسرائيل بما يوفر لها التفوق الاستراتيجي والحل السياسي. وتهدف الدراسة إلى الإجابة عن السؤالين التاليين: هل كانت حرب حزيران/يونيو 1967 أزمة سياسية مفاجئة فشلت الأطراف المشاركة في إدارة الأزمة باحتوائها فأدت إلى الحرب؟ أم أنها حرب خطط لها منذ زمن، وتهيأت لها الظروف الداخلية والإقليمية والدولية فتم تنفيذها، وجرت الأطراف العربية إليها؟ تحاول هذه الدراسة الإجابة عن ذلك من خلال تحليل الدور السوفييتي والإسرائيلي والأمريكي، وتوضيح كيف تم تنفيذ تلك الحرب.
