التكرير- أو التماثل- الصوتي أمر لازم في لغة البشر، فإن المعاني- من ناحية- أوسع مدى من الألفاظ، وهذا يستدعي إعادة الألفاظ على أوجه مختلفة من الهيئات أو الدلالات المجازية والرمزية لاستيفاء المعاني. كما أنها- من ناحية أخرى- متكررة في الحديث الواحد عند قصد التأكيد، ولما كانت الحروف التي هي مادة تركيب الكلمة والكلام محصورة في عدد محدود، لا يصل في لغتنا إلى الثلاثين، فإن هذه الحروف لابد أن تعود ثم تعود في الكلام المؤلف منها، وعودة الحرف في الكلمة الواحدة أو في الكلام أقرب للتصور من عودة الكلمة في الجملة أو في الكلام؛ لأن وضع الكلمات التي تكرر فيها الحرف قد فرغ منه- أو كاد- بالفراغ من وضع اللغة، وعودة الكلمة في الكلام موصول بحياة البشر، ما عاشوا معبرين عن الصلة بين أنفسهم والحياة، وبين بعضهم وبعض. ولو صح أن نتخذ ميزاناً تقريبياً للنسب التكرارية لحروف الهجاء العربية- وقد شغلت القواميس التكرارية أذهان المحدثين من علماء اللغة في العالم- لكان ما صنعه الاسلاف من حصر الحروف في القرآن مثلاً صالحاً، ولهذا لا نرى أن بذل الجهد في نسب التكرار من كتاب آخر بما يفيدنا الآن بما يعادل النفقة، وما المسألة إلا لافتة رأيت مكانها من البحث يطلب التنبيه عليها، لعلها تثير لدى أهل التخصص رغبة نحو التحقيق في صورة أكمل.
