يعتبر ملتقى عمّان الثقافة الأول محطة مهمة من محطات المسار الأدبي الأردني، فلأول مرة تدعو وزارة الثقافة متخصصين عرباً لتقييم الأعمال الروائية الأردنية المعاصرة. وتأتي هذه المناسبة في ظل الانطلاقة الدميقراطية الأردنية التي تضمن حرية الإبداع. إن تسليط الأضواء العربية على الرواية الأردنية إنما يعمل على تحرير مسيرتنا الأدبية من العزلة ويفتح أمامها الدروب الواسعة للوصول إلى الناقد العربي والضوء العربية. فبعد سقوط بيروت كعاصمة للثقافة العربية بدأت ظاهرة الانقطاع الثقافي في الظهور، فتقطعت أوصال التواصل الثقافي العربي، وغرق النتاج الثقافي القطري في المحلية والعزلة. إن ملتقى عمّان الثقافي الأول يتطلع إلى تسليط الضوء العربي على الثقافة في الأردن، كما يتطلع إلى تحويل عمّان إلى عاصمة ثقافية تعيد التواصل العربي العربي إلى سابق عهده. وبما أن هذا الملتقى سيكون سنوياً فإنه سيضطلع بمهمة فك العزلة عن جميع الأجناس الأدبية الأردنية. (الملتقى) .. ثمة ما يمكن توصيفه بـ “الانفجار الروائي” في الأردن. إذ أفرزت الحالة الثقافية المتقدمة، نسبياًن عدداً من النصوص الروائية يفوق جُملة الكتابات المٌنتجة في فترة ما قبل عقدٍ ونيّف. لقد فرضت الرواية الأردنية (….) ضرورة الشروع بالإلتفات الجاد إليها، ودراسة نصوصها على مختلف توجهاتها الفنية وطروحاتها المضمونية. فإذا كان ثمة تقصير تجاه الإبداع في الأردن، بعدم إيلائه الاهتمام الدراسي الكافي؛ فإنَّ الواجب الثقافي ـ لا بل الوطني ـ يُملي على جميع المعنيين تدارك أسباب ذلك التقصير، بالعمل على إنجاز ما لم يُنجز من دراسات. مثلما هو العمل على نشر هذه الدراسات، … ثمة عملية ترميم للذاكرة ينبغي البدء بها. وثمة عملية بناء منهجي للذاكرة تبرر التفكير بالتخطيط لها. والآن تأتي خطوة توثيق وتعميم هذه الأوراق عبر نشرها في هذا الكتاب، لتؤكد على حاجتنا إلى مشروع كُنّا وما زلنا بأمسّ الحاجة إليه.
