زار احد امراء الشرق مدينة باريس في بداية القرن العشرون وادهشه كل شيء فيها غير ان اكثر ما ادهشه هو تلألأ الانوار الكهربائية ، وكان لا يمل من الصعود لسطح مكان اقامته وينظر الى الانوار المتلالئة تحت اقدامه ، لذا قرر تحويل عاصمته الى باريس الشرق ولما عاد ال بلده استدعى رئيس الوزراء وقال له \\\" هذه مائة مليون قطعة ذهبية مخصصة لكهربة عاصمتنا اريد منك ان تجعلها باريس الشرق اريد للانوار متلألئة في كل مكان وانحنى رئيس الوزراء واخذ المبلغ حيث قسمه الى نصفين احتفظ باحدهما واعطى الثاني لوزير الداخلية مرددا التعليمات الامير وقام وزير الداخلية بقسمة المبلغ الى نصفين احتفظ باحد النصفين واعطى النصف الاخر لوكيل الوزارة مرددا التعليمات ذاتها وقام الوكيل الذي احتفظ بنصف المبلغ باستدعاء مدير جهاز الامن واعطاه المبلغ مردداً تعليمات الامير ونظر مدير الامن وردد في نفسه هل يريدون كهربة المدينة باثنا عشر مليونا ونصف يالهم من بخلاء ثم وضع المبلغ في خزانته اصدر مدير الامن مرسوما يقضي على كل مواطن بوضع فانوس امام باب منزله وآخر في سطح المنزل وأن تضاء هذه الفوانيس منذ الغروب والى شروق الشمس وبعد اسبوع صعد الامير مع افراد حاشيته الى سطح القصر فرأى مدينته تتألأ بالضياء فحمدالله ان عاصمته اصبحت باريس الشرق
