اعتدتُ ـ وأنا أفكر ـ أن أعبث بخصلات شعري الذي أُطلقه دون قيد، لمحتُها، تلك الشعرة المصبوغة بلون الحياة الأبيض البلاتيني في وسط ليل شعري الحالك.. خدر أصاب جسدي وعقلي! متى ظهرت؟ وحيدة هي مثلي أم أن غيرها تسلل دون أن أدري؟ بالأمس تعرفتُ على إحداهن التي اندهشتْ حين أعلنتُ قرب بلوغي اثنين وثلاثين عامًا، قالت إني أبدو أصغر كثيرًا من سني.. لو كانت أمي معي لحظة اكتشافي لتلك المتسللة، لرمقتني بنظرة لوم ثم تبعتها بموشح الزواج المعتاد. «من هن في مثل عمرك لديهن أطفال دخلوا المدرسة، أنتِ ما زلتِ وحيدة... يا خائبة!«.
