لقد واجهت الحياة دائماً بصمت ولم أطلب الكثير، كان في ظني دائماً أن الشر والخير لا يتلقيان أبداً وأنه عندما يحدث ذلك لا بد من نشوب معركة بينهما، لكن لماذا لم أشعر بهذا معه؟ لماذا ظهرلت فجأة مثله؟ هل كلنا وجهين لعملة واحدة، أم وجهاً واحداً للعملة ذاتها، هل رأسي لم يتوقف عن التفكير وما إن دخلت إلى غرفتي حتى حسمت الموقف وكانت الحقيبة الجلدية هي السبب، ذلك أنني لم أر طوال حياتي التعيسة تلك، هذا العدد الضخم من الأوراق النقدية، وهكذا احتضنتها بقوة وأنا أتمدد على السرير متذكراً كل تعاسات الحرمان التي عانيتها بسبب غياب قوة المال ومؤمناً أن كل ذلك سيتغير منذ الآن.
