قال الكلب الأسود: سنتحدث عن الزمن الذي تهرب فيه الأسئلة فيما بعد.. ولكن إليك ما لم أسمعه للقطة الرمادية أول أمس.. إلأيك الان شيئاً أخر: انتبه الخير إلى أن ظلاً يتبعه بتصميم وإصرار، ولا يغيب عنه سواء أكان في ضوء أو عتمة، ثابت الكعب واضح الحضور، كان تجوال الخير واسع المساحة، ربما كان يركب باخرة تشق مياه بحر او محيط، أو صاعداً جبال الهيمالايا، أو جبال سويسرا تطرف عينيه لمعة الضوء وإنعكاسه على سطح الجليد، كان سعيه يتمهل في غابة من غابات وسط افريقيا، أو أحراش في جنوب شرق آسيا، أو محشوراً بين جماهير هائجة في ملعب لكرة القدم، ما جعل الخير يرتبك، ويصيبه الهلع أن هذا الظل يتبعه، ولا يحيد أبداً عن ملاحقته حتى لو كان في صحراء أو عمران، في سماء أو في بئر عميق، بين الناس أو منفرداً.. تساءل: من أنت؟! "أجابه الظل:" ما هذا السؤال يا أبله؟! ألا تعرف؟! أنا ظلك.. صاح الخير: "أنا لا ظل لي!!".. كانت سخرية من الظل واضحة: "أنت واهم إضافة لبلاهتك".. واصل الخير صياحه: "أنا الخير..".. صاح الظل: "أنا الشر.." وما زالا يصيحان!!
