تركّز هذه الدراسة على العلاقات الأردنية – البريطانية بين 1951 و 1967، وهي مرحلة شديدة الدقّة في حياة الوطن العربي حيث برزت آنذاك تحوّلات عديدة، ومتغيرات كثيرة، وانعكاسات استراتيجية واسعة ما زالت تفعل فعلها، وتؤثر تأثيراً عميقاً في الوضع العربي على وجه الخصوص حتى يومنا الحاضر. وتتميز منهجيّة البحث بموضوعيّة مشهودة، وبمقارنات مستندة إلى الوثائق، فتضع القارئ العربي أمام حقائق عديدة، تاريخية وسياسيّة، قلّما جرى عرضها في سياق أكاديمي منتظم، وتقدّم له صورة شاملة لحركة التطوّرات في تلك المرحلة العربيّة بين 1951 و1967، وإن يكن المحور الأساسي مركّزاً على جذور العلاقات الأردنية – البريطانية وظروف نشوء دولة الأردن.
