الكتاب من تحقيق الشيخ محمد بن ناصر العجمي. تمثل الرحلة أربع أعلاق من آثار علامة الشام ومفخرة علمائها الأعلام : 1_ رحلته إلى المدينة النبوية . 2_إجازته للشيخ محمد بن جعفر الكتاني صاحب (( الرسالة المستطرفة )) 3_إجازته للشيخ محمد عبد الحي الكتاني صاحب ( فهرس الفهارس ) 4_إجازته للشيخ أحمد محمد شاكر صاحب التحقيقات المشهورة وهي من لطائف العلم ومذاقته تدخل في فن التراجم والإجازات يعرف بها أسلوب أهل القرن الماضي ويظهر فيها مدى حرصهم على هذا الفن المتعلق بالروايةوالإجازات . وأما رحلته إلى المدينة فقد اعتنى العلامة القاسمي بها وعرف ما لها من فوائد عديدة ومعلوم من حال العلامة القاسمي أنه لا يفوت تسجيل كل ما يمر به فإنه دون كل رحلاته فمن ذلك : رحلته إلى إلى قضاء النبك عام ( 1311 هـ ) وألف فيها أيضا رسالة باسم : ( حسن السبك في الرحلة إلى قضاء النبك ) وأعظم آلة تصوير عند الشيخ جمال الدين في ذلك الوقت هو أنامله الذهبية التي كانت لا تعرف الكلل أو الراحة في سبيل العلم .. وألحق المحقق بآخرها صورا لبعض من ورد في هذه الرحلة كما أنه وثق كل معلومة وردت في رحلته ويظهر في الغلاف المسجد النبوي في عهد القاسمي وكذا صورة مكتبة عارف حكمت بالمدينة المنورة.
