هذا السفر الفائق-الذي اعتنى به جمعاً وتحقيقاً وتعليقاً الشيخ محمد بن ناصر العجمي نصر الله اشتمل على الرسائل التي كانت بين العلامة جمال الدين القاسمي (توفي عام 1332هـ)، والعلامة محمود شكري الألوسي (توفي عام 1324هـ) رحمهما الله. وهي رسائل رائعة تلمس منها ما كان عليه العلماء رحمهم الله من التواصل في الحق، وطلب المشورة، والاهتمام بحفظ كتب سلف هذه الأمة، والسعي في نشرها، واستثارة الهمم في ذلك. في هذه الرسائل تلمس التألم لما أصاب المسلمين في دينهم ودنياهم. ففي الدين غلب عليهم الجهل، وانتشرت فيهم البدع، وكثرت منهم المخالفات الشرعية. وفي الدنيا تكالبت عليهم دول الغرب (الاستعمار)، فعاثوا في الأرض فساداً وإفساداً.
