الشاعر علي الجلاوي شاعر بحريني معاصر ولد بمدينة المنامة 1975م، تميز شعره بالثورية في أول حياته ثم أخذ المنحى الإنساني. يعيش في البحرين ومن أشهر مؤلفاته ديوان (دلمونيات)،بدأ يكتب الشعر في سن الرابعة عشرة، اعتقل لأول مرة في سن السابعة عشرعن قصيدة انتقد فيها الوضع القائم في البحرين، ثم اعتقل مرة أخرى في الأحداث الحقوقية التي عصفت بالبحرين منذ عام 1995 حتى العام 1998م.

سأسر.. عن آبائنا الولعين يعطينا سدانته، ويحرس للقتيلة طفلها الحمأي، ينزل عن سلالته ليدخل وردة الأجساد، يوقظ فتنة أولى. سأسر عن كرز عن الأختام تفضح لثغة التفاح بالفصحى، عن الأقمار عن قتلى تحبئ وردة المعنى، وتمضي في بلاغته، عن القمصان عن آبائها.. عنا اصطفى أقمارنا، يندس في لغة تسيل بأخوة الحمى، لنا عنا سيهرق ماء أخطاء مهيأة، ونذهب في جريرته، كمنذورين -نسرق سكر الآباء- يا ليلى له,، سأسر قد فدعوا له عرباته في الليل، فانثالوا إلى خدر الفراش، استيقظت أجسادهم من نومه، لزجون ينضج فيهم الأعداء، ينثالون مثنى أو فرادى عن فداحتهم، لهم قصب من الحناء يفرش ماءه.. سأسر عن فضح نبيل يوشك الشهوات للطين البتول، ندرب الإيمان بالشك".
