"والتقينا كما الماء والنار، ظلان، ينتسبان إلى سدرة الشعر، وجه تزنره لحية ويقين، ووجه يطوقه الشك فهو حصار، كان يحيى مزيجاً من الكلمات، يعمده النور، أحلامه نزهة للعناق، تعاليمه الصمت والصبر والبحث عن مخرج للمسيء، وأسفاره صدقات الشفاه، ويوقن أن الفرار قرار، ناصعاً.. كالتشهد، تبصر أعماقه في صفاء عبارته، انكسرت في تجليه أيقونة القلب، حتى تشظت مواعيدنا معه، وتشظى الحوار، راسخاً كجبال سمائل.. يبكي، إذا خدشته غمامة صيف، ويبكي إذا قيدته ضفيرة ليل، ويبكي.. ويبكي على ذاته دون أن يتبلل فيه الغبار، يتوسد في كهف وحدته، ظلمة الوقت، تمر عليه ولا حلم يكفي، ليخرج منه النهار، حملته الدموع بعيداً.. بعيداً، إلى حيث لا حيث، لا حيث إلا انتظار، وأنا جمرة عمدتني العناقيد: كأساً.. فكأساً.. فقنينة، تتراقص حولي الفراشات إذ يتدفق من شفتي شرار، هذه الأرض موشومة بخطى العابرين عليها، يفرون منها إليها، يذوبون فيها، وينبعثون كلاماً يعتقنه في حكاياتهن، الجرار، أين تمضي بنا، يا قطار؟".
