آه.. لقد تعبت.. من هذا الوضع.. /بسخرية/ لكنني أنا الذي وضعته.. كرهن حياة الاستقرار.. كرهت أن تكون لي أسرة.. امرأة تحبني وأحبها.. وولدا صغيراً أقلق عليه.. وأرعاه.. كرهت أن أعمل تحت سيادة أحدهم.. كرهت ذلك الأجر الزهيد الذي كان يكفيني وزوجني وولدي. لم تكن لدي أدنى مسؤولية.. مطلقاً.. فقط أحببت الدروب السهلة.. وحتى هذه لم تعد سهلة الآن.. علي أن أغير من أسلوبي كي أقنع الآخرين.. كي أجعلهم يعطفون علي، يمنون ببضعة قروش لا أعرف كيف أنفقها. /بحسرة/ ماذا جرى لو كنت إنساناً له كيان.. زوجة تحبه؟ طفل يرعاه.. بيت يأويه؟ ماذا كان سيحصل.. لكني غبي.. غبي جداً.. ولماذا أفكر، وأعكر صفوي الآن.. هذا حدث منذ سنوات، ولم تعد له فائدة. ولدي يبحث عني، وبالتأكيد يريد غسل عاره.. هذا إذا لم يعتقد أني ميت.. وربما أنا أتوهم ذلك.. ربما لو رآني في الطريق لأنكرني.. وماذا عساي أن أفعل أنا أيضاً.. أقول له أنا أبوك يا ولدي.. سامحني لما فعلته بك؟ بالطبع لن أفعل ذلك.. سأنكره.. لأنه سيقيدني بالبيت.. وأنا لا أنفع للبيوت بعد هذا العمر.. وبالتأكيد والدته ستذلني شر إذلال لما فعلته بها..
