كتاب هام يشتمل على مجموعة من الدراسات القيمة في التربية والتعليم والجوانب الاقتصادية المتعلقة بها ، وقد جاء واضحا في تنظيمه حيث أشتمل على خمسة دراسات تناولت جوانب مختلفة من الموضوع وهي ؛ تاريخ الفكر الاقتصادي التربوي ، القيمة الاقتصادية للتعليم في الوطن العربي ، ثم القيمة الاقتصادية للحلقة الأولي من التعليم الأساسي في الوطن العربي ، ثم في الحلقة الثانية ، ويختتم الكتاب بتناول السياسات التعليمية والتحديات التي يجب أن تستعد لها الدول العربية وتأثيرها على مستقبل القيمة الاقتصادية للتعليم.
