... باختصار، الشعر عندي مرآة تعكسُ، بل تجلو، في أجمل صورة ممكنة أحاسيس القلب والانفعالاته. ولكن في وسع بعض الشعر أن يرتفع قليلاً فيكون شعر الأسئلة أيضاً: أسئلة القلب والعقل والروح، أسئلة الإنسان كما هُو، في كل زمان ومكان. نقولُ الأسئلة، لا الأجوبة. إذ ليس من وظيفة الشعر تقديم الأجوبة ـ إلا من باب فرعي غير مباشر. أضعف الشعر شعر الأجوبة، كائناً ما كانت... هي إذاً لوحات وصور تجلو مشاعر وانفعالات وذكريات من حياتي أنا. وفي حيوات الآخرين، كما أظن، ما يشبهها، لكنها لن تكون هي نفسها على الإطلاق. هوذا تفرّد كل إنسان بهوية لا تطابق أي هوية أخرى... ولكن لا تحزن يا صديقي، فمن هذا التفرّد، ومن تلك الشقوق داخل الشخصية نفسها، يولد الشعر! محمّد شيّا
