بعد الإطلاع على مضمون كتاب الدكتور محمد شيا "سنوات جميلة، سنوات مجنونة" الذي يسرد فيه قصص الحياة والموت في جبل لبنان في النصف الثاني من القرن العشرين، تبين لي أنه يتناول حقبتين متناقضتين من تاريخ جبل لبنان، وبالتحديد منطقة عالية التي ينتسب غليها ولادةً ونشأةً وعملاً ومعاناةً.
الحقبة الأولى الممتدة من عام 1950 إلى عام 1975، كانت مرحلة السلام والعيش المشترك والإزدهار الإقتصادي وعلى الأخص السياحي، والحقبة الثانية التي تبدأ مع عام 1975، العام الذي شهد بداية الحرب الأهلية، ولغاية العام 1990 الذي يسجل نهاية الحرب وما رافقها من ويلات وخراب ودمار وإقتتال تسبب بالموت والتهجير، والعداء بين المواطنين، من جهة، وما قام به دعاة العيش المشترك والوحدة الوطنية من مساعٍ ومحاولاتٍ للتخفيف من المآسي والإعتداءات وتسوية الخلافات بين المواطنين بالطرق السلمية.
كتاب الدكتور محمد شيا الذي يرافق كل ما سبق من خلال شهادات حية مُعاشة اختبرها المؤلف من خلال عرضه مسيرة حياته في هذه المنطقة من جبل لبنان، أثار لديّ العديد من الذكريات حلوها ومرّها.
