ولأن الإشكال الفكري والشلل الإبستمولوجي ما يزالان قائمين حتى الآن فإن أخطر ما في هذه المحاولة أنها تكشف عن تأثير حالة ما أسميه (اللاعقل السلفاني) في تحالفاته الطبيعية مع الفكر الأوائلي، ومع كل أوضاع (اللاحرية) كالطغيان، والتسلط، والفساد، لوأد مسيرة التطور العلمي ليس للعلوم اللسانية فحسب، بل للإسهام – دون وعي- في وأد مسيرة المنظومة العلمية في الحضارة الإسلامية. وكان بسبب من ذلك أن تعطّلت ميكانيزمات الإبداع وآليّاته، وتعطّلت كل الإبداعات هنا أو هناك، إلا من فلتات نادرة تظهر كالنجم المضيء، ولا يلبث ليل أعداء العلم والحرية أن يكفِّن تلك النجوم بالسواد.
