"هذه الهيمنة العمانية، جلبت معها طقوساً ونكهات مميزة، تداخلت مع النكهات المحلية التي ولد منها ذلك الكيس اللحمي الموصول برحم خديجة بنت غانم الملقبة بخديجة الفرض، من هذه الطقوس ذات البيئة العمانية ولدت الحياة التي ينتمي إليها خلف الفرض، ومنها أيضاً تزاوج السحر بالدين بنكهات البهارات الهندية، بالملابس المزركشة الألوان، الفاقعة المظهر، ذات الانثناءات الممتدة من الياقة حتى الذيل كاشفة عن ذوق سحري، يصاحبها نطق لغوي مقعر يلوي عنق اللهجة الدارجة، يستدرجها إلى مفردات لزجة تطمس المعنى المراد، ليسبح الكلام في عوالم أهازيجية من لغة البحر والصحراء والأزقة الضيقة ذات نكهة الزعفران والزيت الحيواني بصبغة السجائر الملفوفة في وريقات بيضاء ناعمة لتشكل محتوى هذا العالم السحري الذي ولد فيه خلف الفرض، ولهذا الاسم وقع غرائبي فيما ستذهب إليه الوقائع التالية في مغامرة خلف الفرض مستقبلاً".
