هذه الرواية تفيض بالعاطفة الوطنية، والروح الثورية، الروح التي تدعو إلى بذل كل غال في سبيل الحفاظ على الوطن والتشبث بالأرض الحبيبة. إنها تحكي انفعالات الفلسطيني الذي هجر من وطنه ثم عاد إليه ليعمل على ترسيخ الروح الثورية الوثابة في نفوس إخوانه الفلسطينيين المقيمين في فلسطين المحتلة. هناك يلتقي رفاقاً ليس همهم إلا تخليص الوطن مما يعاني من كبد الأعداء المحتلين، فيعملون معاً ويخططون ولا يملون من السعي لتحقيق أمنيتهم، وهي تحرير الوطن من المغتصب، وإعادة بنائه من جديد. الأوكار السرية والمغاور والحانات والفنادق كلها ميادين للعمل من أجل استرداد الوطن السليب فماذا فعل أبطال الرواية وما هي مخططاتهم التي رسموها ثم نفذوها حتى اربكوا العدو فجعلوه يجري وراء خيالات كأنها خيالات الشياطين؟ يقولون إن الموت مر، لكنه أحلى ما يكون عندما يكون في سبيل وطن استولى عليه الدخيل عنوة، فشرد أهله وأذل من بقي منهم متشبثاً بأرضه وهكذا تسير هذه الرواية بشخوصها من مغامرة إلى مغامرة ومن تضحية إلى أخرى حتى النهاية فما هي النهاية!!!
