ولد عام 1951 في زبقين من قضاء صور .
أنهى دراسته الابتدائية في مدرسة القرية, والثانوية في صور, ثم حصل على شهادة الكفاءة في اللغة العربية وآدابها من كلية التربية
الجامعة اللبنانية 1973.
عمل بالتدريس بثانوية صور حتى 1982 , وثانوية المصيطبة في بيروت حتى 1988,

أعد برامج إذاعية متنوعة في عدد من الإذاعات اللبنانية الرسمية والخاصة, كما أعد برامج تلفزيونية ثقافية في تلفزيون لبنان الرسمي.
له مساهمات في العديد من الصحف والمجلات, أبرزها: الآداب اللبنانية,
