وجود الصليب على العديد من الشواهد وعلى عملات لمعاوية مطموس فيها الصليب يدل على أن معاوية مسيحي. الكتابة باللغة العربية على كل عملات معاوية تدل على أنه عربي. نخلص من هذا أن معاوية كان حاكماً عربياً مسيحياً لإحدى ولايات منطقة الشام جنوباً فيما يعرف الآن بالأردن. وقد وضحنا أن العام الذي انتصر فيه الساسانيون على البيرنطيين في الشام كان العام ٦١٤م وظلت تحت الحكم الساساني حتى العام ٦٢٢م الذي تولى فيه هرقل الحكم في الإمبراطورية البيزنطية وبدأت حروبه ضد الساسانيين لاستعادة أملاك الإمبراطورية البيزنطية. كما وضحنا أن السنة الميلادية التي هاجر فيها النبي محمد إلى يثرب لم تكن العام ٦٢٢م، فلماذا اتخذه المسلمين موافقاً لهجرة النبي؟ في هذا العام تولى هرقل الحكم في بيزنطة المسيحية وبدأت حروبه وانتصاراته ضد الساسانيين المجوس، ولما كان معاوية ورهطه من المسيحيين فقد أسعدهم هذا الانتصار وجعلوا هذا التاريخ بداية لتقويمهم بدلاً من التقويم السابق.
