الشاعر العراقي الراحل عبد الامير الحصيري ( 1943-1978 )في رحلة اقتفاء اثر من قبل احد تلامذته الشاعر عبد المنعم حمندي يسرد حمندي سيرة الشاعر واصل شهرته التي عرف بها وهي الحصيري واصول عائلته واعماله المطبوعة وهجرته الى بغداد وتصعلكه ويروي مواقف وطرائف حدثت للشاعر مع بعض مشاهير عصره ونبوغ الحصيري وطبيعته وميوله ثم ليلته الاخيرة وحكاية موته. كل هذا في النصف الاول من الكتاب حيث يضم نصف الكتاب الاخر قصائد لم تنشر للشاعر في كتاب وكانت اغلبها ان قام المؤلف بنشرها في مجلة الاقلام العراقية عام 1985 لمخطوطات بقلم الحصيري وذلك وفاءاً من التلميذ لاستاذه
