الصدمة.. والدهشة.... فى الساعة 5:34 من فجر يوم الخميس الموافق 20 مارس عام 2003 وبعد مرور 90 دقيقة فقط بعد مهلة ال48 ساعة التى كان قد حددها الرئيس الأمريكى جورج دبليو بوش لكى يغادر رئيس النظام العراقى صدام حسين وولداه عدى وقصى العراق نهائياً.. فى تلك الساعة أطلقت القطع البحرية المصاحبة لحاملة الطائرات الأمريكية إبراها لينكولن 40 صاروخاً من طراز كروز تزما هوك ذاتية التوجيه. وبين لحظة الصدمة.. ولحظة الدهشة 500 ساعة فقط.. غيرت العالم.. وضعت نهائية لعصر مضى.. وبداية عصر يولد من رحم حرب لم يسبق لهم مثيل.. حرب يبدو أنها كانت حثمية من وجهة النظر الأمريكية.. كانت تعدلها وتنتظر اللحظة المناسبة.. والميدان المناسب.. حتى تنتقل بالعالم إلى العصر الجديد.. وحتى يكون القرن الواحد والعشرون هو القرن الأمريكى.فما الذى جرى بالضبط؟ وكيف جرى؟ هذا ما نحاول الإجابة عليه فى هذا الكتاب قبل أن تفلت من بين أيدينا اللحظة وتضيع صورة المشهد أو يغلفها ضباب الادعاءات الأكاذيب والتى بدأت بالفعل قبل أن نفيق وبدأ حديث خبيث عن الخيانة التى كانت هى السبب فى السقوط.. لا.. وألف لا.. لم تكن الخيانة هى السبب فى السقوط حتى لو كانت قد حدثت نقولها بضمير مستريح.. لأنها دعوة يراد بها صرفنا عن بحث الأسباب الحقيقية.. والسعى إلى علاجها.. فنحن فى لحظات فارقة تتسارع فيها المتغيرات وتتبدل فيها المواقف.. ولأن السبب الحقيقى فيما جرى هو التخلف العلمى والتكنولوجى والحضارى.. ولعلنا بذلك فى إدراك أبعاد ما ينتظر فى ظل نظام عامى جديد.. ونستشرق خطواتنا نحو المستقبل.. مستقبلنا ومستقبل أجيالنا القادمة.......
