وقد تعاظمت مسؤولية خطيب المنبر الحسيني في ساحتنا الإسلامية المعاصرة, إذ لم يعد هذا الخطيب مجرد ناعٍ يردد أبيات الرثاء وقصائده بالأطوار الشجيّة في مهمة المنبر الحسيني. بل أن جماهير هذا المنبر تتوقع من الخطيب, أن يتناول موضوعات وأبحاثاً تغني الأمة, وتسهم في ربطها بدينها وشدّها إلى عظمائه, وتعين الإنسان المسلم على تلمّس طريق الخير والإستقامة, ومعالجة مشكلاته وحلّ معاناته مع معادلات حياته اليومية وهمومه الواقعية..
