صدر مؤخرا ضمن سلسلة إصدارت خاصة الصادرة عن الهيئة العامة لقصور الثقافة كتاب "حكايات أسرة أرمنية" للدكتور نبيل حنفى محمود وتقديم الدكتور محمد رفعت الأمام، خرج الكتاب فى 225 صفحة من القطع المتوسط، وضم بين دفتيه سبعة فصول. يتعرض المؤلف فى كتابه لهجرة الأرمن إلى مصر، باعتبارها أحد أهم الهجرات التى حدثت بالمنطقة، حيث إن هجرة الأرمن إلى مصر تعود إلى عصر الأسرات المصرية القديمة ثم تزايدت إلى حد ما خلال الحكم البيزنطى "527 ـ 640". ويضيف المؤلف أن الأرمن بدأوا يظهرون نسبياً فى مصر منذ الفتح الإسلامى لها، حيث اشترك بعضهم ممن أسلموا فى هذا الفتح مثل: القائد وردان الرومى الذى شيد سوقاً فى الفسطاط عرفت بسوق وردان، وقد ولاه الخليفة عثمان بن عفان خراج مصر أيضاً، مشيرا إلى أنهم عاشوا فترة مزدهرة فى مصر إبان الحكم الفاطمى "969 ـ 1117" حيث كانت لهم جالية تتمتع بكامل الحريات الدينية والثقافية والتجارية.
