إن أسلوب التجليل المقارن الذي يحكم هذا الكتاب لم يوضح أفكار ابن عربي فحسب، وإنما أطر هذه الأفكار ضمن دائرة مباحث الوجود في المدارس الفلسفية المتعددة عبر التاريخ، فنجد ابن عربي متشابك الخيوط مع الفلاسفة الأقدمين والمعاصرين على السواء. متقاطعاً مع أخرين منهم في جدلية فكرية غاية في العمق، تروي غليل الباحث والدارس والمطلع من خلال منهجية نقدية تحليلية رائعة.
