وهذا الظلام لا فارق بينه ونور الشمس المحتال الذي يبرق في عيون الجميع كالذهب ولا يمكن أحدهم منه، كأنه لا شيء يصل إلى كل مكان، كأن ما ينير الأرض كلها لا شيء! وكأن هذا الليل استصعب إنزال مكانته لينوب في غياب النور فقرر أن يجثم جزء منه في صدر كل واحد منا وامن عليه بصدار لا يزول.
"ما ذبحنى الحزن عندما دُفعت للسفر، والتقدم للوظيفة التى سلمنى محمود زوج أختى ندى تفاصيل إعلانها إلا عندما فكرت فى التراجع عن فرصتها وأنا موقن باليأس منها، لم أجد سببًا وضيعًا واحدًا يلتقطنى من الفكرة الصارمة، أريد الحياة، وتمنيت الموتـ وها هى حياة المادة الفارغة تعود من جديد.. أنا ضعيف.. أنا مسجون.. ليس التشاؤم ما يسجننى، ولا اليأس.. لا أتطير من وقفة قطار، ومعارضة أحداث. ليس الحظ غبيًّا لكن سائق القطار.
