مقدمة المؤلف ليست قضية الحسين (عليه السلام) حكاية تُحكى، ولا قصة تُقص، ولا رواية تُروى.. وإنما هي مأساة تُعاش، وملحمة تُحس بكل ما فيها من معان ومالها من أبعاد.. ولقد حاول البعض أن يدلو بدلوهم، تاريخاً، وروايةً، وتحليلاً، واستذكار للفاجعة فيما يعرف بالمقتل. فأما التاريخ.. فتحكمت فيه ميول الكَتَبَة..! وأما الرواية.. فقد حاول فيها من هم ليسوا أهلاً لها، فزيفوا التاريخ،وأحدثوا من الدّس ما تنبوا عنه الوقائع والحقائق، واختلقوا الشخصيات وهو ما يأباه الأدب التاريخي، وجعلوا من الحب المزيف والعاطفة المفتعلة إطاراً يلمّحون في بعض أركانه بقضية الإمام الحسين(عليه السلام)، وهو ما تترفع عنه عظمة الشخصية الحسينية، وتسحقه جسامة هذه المأساة المروعة التي لم يشهد التاريخ البشري شبيهاً لها أو مثيلاً..! وأما التحليل.. فهو ما تتعب منه العقول والأذهان، وما لا يصبر عليه كل قاريء.. وأما المقتل.. فهو وإن أثار المشاعر، واستدر الدموع، فإنه يبقى انعكاساً لجانب واحد من جوانب القضية -الفاجعة-..! وبقي الأدب الروائي الجامع لموازين وأصول العمل الفني بما في ذلك الأمانة التاريخية، والمنحى التسجيلي، والإلمام بالوقائع، والتصوير الفني، وعنصر التشويق، والحبكة القصصية، بعيداً عن اقتحام الحدث، وإقحامه، واختلاق المواقف، والمساس بالحقائق وواقع الشخصيات. ومن ثم جاءت رواية "أنا الحسين بن علي" لتكون دحضاً للإفتراءات، ورداًّ على التساؤلات، وردعاً للتقوّلات، وتأسيساً لأدب روائي تاريخي إسلامي، وفاتحة للمواهب الإسلامية الخلاقة، والطاقات الإبداعية المخلصة، وجوهرة في العقد الرسالي المتلأليء الذي لا يخبو بريقه ولا ينفرط نظمه.وإنني إذ أبغي بهذه الرواية وجه الحق سبحانه وتعالى، طمعاً في شفاعة الرسول الأكرم (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم)، وعترته المعصومين ولاسيّما قتيل كربلاء الحسين (عليه السلام)، فإني أتقدم لكل من أعانوني على إنجازها بالشكر والتقدير، وأسأل الله العليّ القدير أن يشملهم بفضله وعنايته جزاء ما قدموا لآل البيت الأطهار (عليهم السلام)، إنه سميع قريب مجيب الدعاء.
