مجموعة (أرض الشوك) العمل الأول للأديبة وصال تقة، هي كراس أنثوي بريء، تملَّكتني في قراءته تلك الرهبة اللطيفة التي تحف الأشياء الخاصة المخبَّأة، تلك (الحرمة) لكراسات النساء المدسوسة فيما لاتصل إليه أيدي الأزواج المشغولين عن التفتيش ولو في الوجوه؛ تلك الكراسات التي يسطرن فيها بحبر الحنق وعلى الورق الأصفر المبلل بالدمع الحار، وعلى الورود والفراشات المجففة للآمال القديمة التي خابت، أثناء تأدية كومة متراصة من الأعمال المنزلية المرهقة والمستديمة، فجاءت التعبيرات حادة ومتوترة وسريعة، تليق بنساء مستاءات يسرقن لحظات البوح الموجِع. نساء وصال تقة المكافحات لسن حزبيات تخرجن على مقاعد الأحزاب الاشتراكية العتيقة، لا ولا هن من المتسربات إلى القاعات المكيفة للنسوية الحديثة، وكذلك لم تصنع وصال تقة بطلات من وحل الرذيلة وسيَّبتهن إلى قاع المدينة وطاولات المقاهي يمضغن البؤس ويمضغهن؛ إنما فتحت كراسها الأنثوي لتلك الجروح المؤلمة والمعتادة داخل النسق الاجتماعي المألوف، وفي النهاية، وبطريقتها، استطاعت أن تخرج من بيوت مثل بيوتنا بطلات، بغير قص شعورهن، واستطاعت أن تدفع ضحايا، بغير أحمر الشفاه الغليظ والدموع."
