سعيد عقل (4 يوليو 1912م – 28 نوفمبر 2014م)، شاعر لبناني يعتبر من أبرز الشعراء اللبنانيين المعاصرين. عمل في التعليم والصحافة.
النشأة والمسيرة
ولد في قضاء زحلة، في محافظة البقاع بلبنان. عمل في التعليم والصحافة. كان من أعظم الشعراء الموجودين وقد لقب ب"الشاعر الصغير" نسبة إلى أنه كان شاعرا منذ طفولته وقد تميز شعره بالتجديد.
التوجه السياسي
يعتبر سعيد عقل من أكبر دعاة القومية اللبنانية وقد ساهم بشكل كبير في تأطير فكرها الإيديولوجي من خلال التركيز على "الخاصية اللبنانية". حيث أنه بسنة 1972م كان من مؤسسي حزب التجدد اللبناني كما كان يعتبر الأب الروحي لحزب حراس الأرز الذي يتزعمه إتيان صقر.
يؤخذ عليه تأييده لقضاء إسرائيل على الوجود الفلسطيني في لبنان عبر تأييده الهجوم الإسرائيلي على لبنان عام 1982 ردا على ما سببه الوجود العسكري الفلسطيني المسلح في لبنان.

سياحة في لبنان، لبنان الحضارة! قد تكون أجمل شيء يعطاه الإنسان. في جزء من الوقت نزر، دقائق لا تزيد، يجتاز سعيد عقل كرات سنين، واقفاً عند حياة عظيم، أو عند حدث توقف عنده مصير البشر. على أنه لن يزور كل شيء، فكل شيء في لبنان أكبر من بحر، أكبر من دهر، مجلدات ضخمة من التاريخ ستظل تنتظر من يؤلفها. فعلى شطآنه ورباه أقيمت مؤسسات لا يثمن فضلها عبر التاريخ. فهنا ولد أوفال أو عجل نفر من آلهة المعرفة. والتطواف على صخور لبنان أو على تلاله ليشيكن بك إلى النجوم أو يملك الدنيا في لحظات، وتحت كل حصاة من الثرى الذي تدوس كل يوم، قصة مجد تحكى. أنها فصل من تاريخ الحب والعطاء، أو هي بعض الحضارة. من يعرفها؟ من يعرف أن يقصها؟ اثنان... ثلاثة... أربعة على الأكثر... أما المليونان من اللبنانيين فيمرون كل آن، بجمال لا يعدله جمال ولا يدركون حكايات فريدة عن لبنان يحكيها سعيد عقل وهي تهم بني الأرض جميعاً، وإنما طابعها محض إنساني، وتهم أصحابها أيضاً لأنها تعود بهم إلى أيام عجب كانوا في أثنائها يقولون هذا الذي عاد وسمي الإنسان. ها هو سعيد عقل يأخذ القارئ على الطرقات، دون تحديد وجهة، حر هو متنقلاً على هواه في رحلة بين الخيال والحقيقة أعيد حروف وكلمات تزيد من روعة لبنان روعة.
