الأطلس العربي المصور كتاب تعليمي يعني بإبراز الخرائط الجغرافية الطبيعية لبعض دول العالم العربية مثل الجمهورية السورية، المملكة الأردنية الهاشمية، دولة الكويت، الجماهيرية العربية الليبية الشعبية الاشتراكية والجمهورية التونسية... حيث يتوقف عند الخريطة الطبيعية للدولة، من ثم يقدم صوراً فوتوغرافية تبرز أهم المعالم والآثارات التي تتميز بها الدولة هذا إلى جانب عرض موضع على الخريطة لأبرز مناطق الدولة ولمدنها ولحقولها البترولية إن وجدت. هذا من جانب ومن جانب آخر يعني الكتاب بإثبات خرائط سياسية عن القارات الست، وخرائط توضح التوزيعات المائية للعالم، وأخرى عن العالم الطبيعي وأخرى عن توزيع النباتات والسكان في العالم. أما لجمهورية فكان لها حصة الأسد في هذا الأطلس حيث تم تزويده بعدد من الخرائط الهامة والتي تبرز إما موقع لبنان على خريطة العالم أو ثروته المائية الحيوانية والنباتية وتوزيعها أو طرق المواصلات الداخلية التي تجمع بين أطراف الجمهورية والخارجية التي تربط لبنان بالعالم العربي المحيط به.. وزيادة بالإيضاح تم تزويد الكتاب بعدد من الصور الفوتوغرافية الحية المأخوذة من واقع المجتمع اللبناني. وفي بداية الأطلس تم تخصيص قسمين كاملين، في الأول تم التحدث عن بعض ظواهر سطح الأرض والفلك والمناخ، وفي الثاني تم التوقف عند عملية تصميم الخرائط ومقاييس الخرائط ورموز الخرائط ودلالاتها.
