من فوق صفحات هذا الكتاب يلقى لنا الكاتب الساخر ( يوسف معاطى) العديد من الكواليس المضحكة..
ليست كوابيس تقتصر على الضحك وحسب، وإنما أيضا تحدثنا فى شئون عديدة منها المحلى ومنها العالمى فى علاقة وطيدة تصنعها الكوابيس بين الكاتب وشخصيات كوابيسه. فمرة نجدها في أدق تفاصيل حياة الأميرة "ديانا" وعلاقتها بـ ( دودى الفايد) ، مرة مع الملكة " إليزابيث" وهى تبث شكواها إليه - الكاتب- من جراء أفعال إبنها ( تشارلز) أو يتحدث في كوالبيس السينما وفنانيها وبعد هذا نجده يعرج على السياسة سواء عربية أو عالمية. ليس هذا هو محتوى الكتاب فقط وإنما أيضا يحتوى على حكايات خاصة بالكاتب وإن كانت تحمل فكرة تعبر عنها، والموضوعات أو الفكرة الخاصة بالكتاب ليست هى فقط العنصر المشوق الوحيد ولكن أسلوب الكاتب الكوميدى بخفة وليس بافتعال هو ما يجعلنا نتشبث بصفحات الكتاب حتى نصل إلى آخر سطر فيه يتنازعنا الضحك الصافى الآتى من القلب مباشرة، والحزن لإنتهاء الكتاب بين من يدينا.
