غازي الخليلي صحفي، باحث وكاتب سياسي، وشغل عضوية الامانة العامة للاتحاد العام للكتاب والصحفيين الفلسطينيين عدة سنوات.
مواليد نابلس عام 1940.
متزوج وله ولد وبنت.
انهى دراسته الثانوية في مدرسة الصلاحية بنابلس عام ١٩٦٠وكان من الاوائل.
حاصل على بكالوريوس آداب من جامعة دمشق عام ١٩٦٥.
التحق بصفوف المقاومة الفلسطينية منذ بداياتها الاولى، وهو من المؤسسين للمقاومة الفلسطينية المعاصرة.
عمل في مركز الابحاث الفلسطيني في لبنان عدة سنوات.
عاد الى الوطن ١٩٩٤ يقيم حاليا في رام الله.
من أبرز مؤلفاته كتاب المرأة الفلسطينية والثورة الصادر عن مركز الابحاث الفلسطيني عام 1977وكتابه شهادات على جدران زنزانة عن تجربته الاعتقالية في الاردن، وسيرته الذاتية بجزاين : من اوراء العمر الصادر عن دار الشروق عام 2010 وسيرة وطن سيرة حياة.
الصادر في حيفا عام 2019 إضافة إلى الكثير من الموضوعات والأبحاث عن القضية الفلسطينية

هذا الكتاب أسرد في هذا الجزء من مذكراتي قصتي وتجاربي كما عشتها، منذ سنوات طفولتي في مدينة نابلس، وفي حارة الياسمينة، أقدم حارات نابلس وأكبرها، ثم سنواتي المدرسية الأولى، وما عانيته في تلك السنوات القاسية من حياة شعبنا بعد نكبته عام 1948. ثم بدايات تفتح وعيي السياسي وإدراكي لأحداث عشتها بتفاصيلها منذ صغري. ثم انخراطي بالعمل السياسي بالانتماء في البداية، إلى حركة القوميين العرب، ثم ما تلا ذلك من أحداث وتطورات بعد حرب حزيران عام 1967، والتي عشتها، بما فيها من حلاوة النجاح وقوة الأمل، وما فيها أيضاً، من مرارة الإخفاق وانكسار الحلم. أتوقف في هذا الجزء من قصتي، عند اعتقالي في 16/6/1971، بعد أحداث أيلول الدامية في الأردن. وسأتناول في جزء ثان، أعمل على إعداده، الفترة اللاحقة من تجربتي السياسية، بعد خروجي من المعتقل، قبل أيام قليلة من حرب أكتوبر عام 1973، وحتى عودتي إلى الوطن في منتصف شهر عام 1994.
