نبذة النيل والفرات: "لسان المنبر" صوت ينطق في "بيوت أذن الله أن ترفع ويذكر فيها اسمه". ويخاطب المسلمين بلغة متلبسة بروح العصر، ويتخير لهم نماذج من أهم وأقوى الخطب الملقاة على المسلمين والتي تحرص على عرض مسائل حياتية ودينية يحتاج المسلم غلى سماعها من رجال الدين ليأخذ العبرة والكلمة الحسنة في أمور دينه ودنياه. وهذه الخطب جاءت متنوعة الموضوعات منها نحى نحو عالم الغيب، فشرح العلاقة القائمة بين الكوارث الطبيعية بأفعال العباد، وبين مدى اختبار الله تعالى لعباده، وكيفية شكر الله، وأسباب تيسير الرزق، وأكد على مسألة كون الإنسان مخير وليس مسير، والبعض الآخر نحى نحو عالم النفس فتحدث عن بعض الأمراض التي تصيب النفس كالأنانية والهوى والغفلة، والقلق والغضب، وعداوة الشيطان للإنسان" أما العبادات فكان لها قسم خاص من الكتاب وفها تم الحديث عن الصلاة، وخسوف القمر، ومكانة الزكاة تهذيب النفس، والصيام، والحج، وعيد الضحى، وعيد الفطر، وأخيرا تم استعراض العديد من الخطب والتي تتطرق للأخلاق في الإسلام والاجتماع وأهمية الزواج وعلاقة الوالدين بالأبناء... أما القضايا المعاصرة والمناسبات الإسلامية فكان لها قسم خاص في الكتاب وفيها تم طرح العديد من الموضوعات الإنسانية والحياتية المعاصرة والتي تهم كل مسلم.
