تمتلئ أحاديث الناس بالأمثلة والحكم التى تعودوا تداولها فيما بينهم.. ودائما ما تكون هناك قصة أو جذور لهذه الأمثال. وعن الجذور الدينية فى أمثالنا الشعبية العربية والمصرية بالأخص يقدم المؤلف الأستاذ (محمد مصطفى مجاهد) هذا الكتاب.. وفيه يقوم بتناول العديد من الأمثال يبين أصولها التى تعود إلى آيات قرآنية وأحاديثة شريفة. فمع هذا الكتاب نذهب فى رحلة ممتعة نتعرف فيها على معانى الأمثال وإيحاءاتها، الفروق بين الأقوال المشهورة و الحكم والأمثال الشعبية والتى تأتى جميعها مصحوبة بأجمل القصص والنماذج للأمثال.. هذا إلى جانب حديث عن بعض الأمثلة المعيوبة. وأخيراً من الجدير بالقول أنه كتاب جاء مفعماً بالمعلومة المفيدة والمتعة.. فهو حقاً خير صديق.
ستدهش أشد الدهشة إذا علمت أن جذور أغلب أمثالنا الشعبية هى ترجمة شعبية لآيات محكمات أو أحاديث شريفة، وإن دل هذا فإنما يدل على تغلغل الحس الدينى الأصيل إلى الوجدان الشعبي فى حكمة الشعب، والغريب فى هذا التطايف المدهش والذي أوضحناه هنا نجده بأيدى حكيمة مجهولة ولكنها تحدثت فى جميع نواحى الحياة من الآباء الى الزواج الى المرأة الى الظلم الى الوجبات. وإذا كان نقدم هذا الجزء عن بعض الأمثال.. فإننا أردنا هنا التدليل، وليس الإحصاء.. التدليل أوردناه بالدليل. لتعم الفائدة. إلا أننا نعد بتقديم الجزء الثانى والذى سيكون أوسع وأشمل إن شاء الله تعالى.
