نواف بن عبد الرحمن بن حمود القديمي ولد في مدينة الرياض (14 يونيو 1976م) هو كاتب وباحث سعودي صدرت له تسعة كتب، مهتم بالفكر السياسي والحركات الإسلامية، ومدير الشبكة العربية للأبحاث والنشر. في عام 2000م تخرج بشهادة بكالوريس من جامعة الملك سعود من قسم الإعلام، شعبة صحافة.
مؤلفاته
1- عمل في صحيفة الشرق الأوسط بنظام العمل الجزئي من بداية 2003م وحتى أواخر 2005م.
عندما سئل نواف القديمي عن سبب تركه للصحيفة وعن صحة خبر أتى من شخص يعمل في الشركة السعودية للأبحاث والنشر يقول أن قيادات الصحيفة استغنوا عنه لأنهم لم يستسيغوا منهجه المخالف لتوجهاتم. فرد القديمي أنه سمع ذات المعلومة من اثنين من الإداريين في الشركة السعودية للأبحاث والنشر ولكنه يعتقد أن تجربت عمله في صحيفة الشرق الأوسط لا توحي له بذلك حيث أنه طوال فترة عمله لم يسمع يوماً من أحد المسؤولين في الصحيفة أي توجيه فكري يخص النشر. ويكمل قائلاً أنه في الشهور الأخيرة من عمله في صحيفة الشرق الأوسط انشغل بمشروع آخر؛ وبسببه تقطّع انتظامه في الحضور، وفي هذه الأثناء، قامت إدارة الصحيفة في ثنايا مرحلة تطويرية بإجراء تغييرات عديدة في تبويب الصحيفة، شملت إلغاء الصفحة التي كان يشتغل عليها، فقال أنه ربما كان هذان المُبرران (انشغاله وإلغاء الصفحة) هما السبب وراء تركه للعمل في الصحيفة.

لأنني أؤمن أن التيار الإسلامي هو الأكثر قدرة على إثارة الحراك السياسي والفكري في المجتمع العربي باتجاه التنمية والإصلاح -وإن لم يقم بهذا الدور في كثير من الأحيان- فإن الرغبة في دفعه نحو تجاوز (مأزق النهضة) عبر النقد والتقويم وإثارة الأسئلة يغدو مطلباً ملحاً وحيوياً، سعياً لإخراج المجتمع العربي، بكل أطيافه، من غمرات التيه الضارب في عمق وجداننا. هذه الحوارات جرت بين عامي 2001 و2005م، والتيار الإسلامي ينوء بحمل أكلاف 11 سبتمبر، التي هيجت كل الكوامن، وعجلت تسارع دولاب الزمن، وجرت الإسلاميين إلى محكات خشنة دفعت ببعضهم ليكون وقوداً لتأجيج الصراع، ودفعت بالبعض الآخر لإعادة تفكير جذري وصميم بأساليب التعاطي والعمل والفهم لمعطيات السياسة والفكر والسوسيولوجيا وفق موازين القوى الدولية وما تنتجه من تبعات، ووفق معطيات الممكن والمتاح لا يوتوبيا الحلم والرغبة التي سكبت مزيداً من عناصر الاشتعال على كيمياء الحالة العربية المتأهبة للانفجار.
