Book Description
يقول أدونيس: "مع جبران تبدأ في الشعر العربي الحديث الرؤيا التي تطمح إلى تغيير العالم فيما تصفه أو تندبه أو تفسره. مع جبران يبدأ بمعنى آخر الشعر العربي الحديث. ففي نتاجه ثورة على المألوف آنذاك من الحياة والأفكار وطرائق التعبير". ويقول جبران في إحدى رسائله إلى ماري هاسكل: "لك تكن الطرق القديمة تعبر عن أشيائي الجديدة.وهكذا كنت أعمل دائماً على ما ينبغي أن يعبر عنها. لم أقتصر على صياغة ألفاظ جديدة بل إن إيقاعاتي وموسيقاي كانت جديدة، وأشكال التأليف كلها كانت جديدة، كان علي صياغة ألفاظ جديدة بل إن إيقاعاتي وموسيقاي كانت جديدة، وأشكال التأليف كلها كانت جديدة، كان علي أن أجد أشكالاً جديدة لآراء جديدة". وواقع الحال إن في نتاج جبران مناخاً ثورياً أخلاقياً صوفياً يحول الشعر إلى فعل حياة وإيمان. وفيه رعشة غنائية مشبعة بلهب التمرد على الواقع والتطلع إلى مرتجى أكثر سمواً وأبهى، وتأتي جدة جبران من انفصاله عما سمي عصر النهضة، فلم تكن آثاره ولا لغته خصوصاً وليدة هذا العصر أو استمراراً له، وإنما كانت تفجراً خاصاً يعلن ميلاد الحداثة الأدبية. ولا تزعم هذه الدراسة لنفسها الإحاطة بجبران بقدر ما تدعي أنها تقدمه للقارئ العربي في بحث يجمع بين الشمول والدقة والإيجاز بحيث يفتح شهية هذا القارئ للغوص في البحر الجبراني المتلاطم طلباً للؤلؤ والمرجان. وقد أنهى هذا البحث بمختارات من النتاج الجبراني تسهل لمن يشاء الربط بين ما ذهبت إليه حول خصائص هذا النتاج وبين النتاج نفسه.
