يتضمن الكتاب مجموعة بحوث لاساتذة الاعلام في العديد من الاقطار العربية شاركوا فيها في وقائع المؤتمر الاول للصحافة في جامعة البترا عام 2011 ومن ضمن البحوث المشاركة بحث الاستاذ المساعد الدكتور سعد سلمان المشهداني الموسوم (مدى اعتماد النخبة الأكاديمية على القنوات الفضائية العراقية في وقت الأزمات ) والذي خلص الباحث فيه الى مجموعة من النتائج الاتية : 1. تصدرت القنوات الفضائية العراقية وسائل الاعلام الأخرى كأول مصدر للإعلام عن حادث الاقتحام الارهابي لمبنى مجلس محافظة صلاح الدين الذي حدث يوم الثلاثاء 29/3/2011 . 2. تنوعت التأثيرات المترتبة على اعتماد النخبة الاكاديمية العراقية على التلفزيون وجاءت فى المقدمة التأثيرات المعرفية تلها التأثيرات الوجدانية، مما يعكس نجاح القنوات الفضائية العراقية فى إحداث التأثير المعرفي المطلوب خلال الحادث. 3. ظهرت علاقة ارتباطية قوية بين النخبة الاكاديمية في محافظة صلاح الدين والاعتماد على التلفزيون خلال حادث الاقتحام الارهابي لمبنى مجلس محافظة صلاح الدين . 4. برزت قناة بغداد الفضائية كأفضل مصدر غطى حادث الاقتحام الارهابي لمبنى مجلس محافظة صلاح الدين . 5. إتضح وجود قصور فى استكمال التغطية التلفزيونية لحادث الاقتحام ظهرت سماته من خلال عدم وجود تقارير متعمقة وتحليلات إخبارية حول الحادث وسطحية التغطية الإعلامية للحادث وتجريدها .
