روايته "وقوف متكرر" طبعت 4 مرات لدى دار الشروق، ورواية "سرير الرجل الايطالي" 4 طبعات عند دار ميريت.
حصل على جوائز أدبية عدة منها، جائزة سعاد الصباح في الرواية – الكويت 2002.، جائزة الصدى للمبدعين في المجموعة القصصية – الإمارات – 2004، جائزة المجلس الأعلى للثقافة – مصر- في القصة, مرتين: 1999 – 2004، جائزة المجلس الأعلى للثقافة للعام 2004 للرواية

الكتاب ينتمي إلى الأدب الساخر، وهو مجموعة من المقالات نشرها العزب في جريدتي الدستور واليوم السابع، تتناول انتقاد الأوضاع السياسية والاجتماعية والاقتصادية في مصر. من أجواء الكتاب: المصريون هم الشعب الوحيد على مستوى العالم الذي يساوي بين رئيس الجمهورية وسائق الميكروباص، فنحن نصرخ كل عام في عيد العمال: المنحة يا ريس، ونصرخ كل يوم عندما تأتي محطتنا: على جنب يا ريس. في البداية يسير زميلنا السائق بمنتهى الهدوء والراحة، ويشغل في كاسيت السيارة أغنية لمحمد ثروت، ثم شيئا فشيئا يبدأ في زيادة سرعة السيارة، فيقلق الركاب ويصيحون: ـ بالراحة شوية يا ريس. لكن مفيش بالراحة. يخاف الركاب، وتقول سيدة عجوز تجلس على الكرسي القلاب: ـ يا ابني حرام عليك.. بالراحة. فيوقف السيارة على جانب الطريق، وينزل منها بعد أن يغلق كل أبوابها بالموسوجر، ويقف في الناس خطيبا: ـ الإخوة والأخوات، لقد حققنا بفضل الله خطوات ملموسة في سبيل الوصول إلى الموقف، وإنني بعد تجارب عديدة خضتها في هذا المجال أقول للحاجّة اللي ورا: أنا بعمل كده عشان صالح الميكروباص.. انتي متعرفيش احنا علينا أقساط قد إيه.
